Frederick Unasa Ledoux hails from the village of Pago Pago, with roots in the villages of Fagatogo, Matu’u, Masefau, Sili/Olosega and Faga, Savai’i. He was appointed and confirmed to be the American Samoa Government Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) in March 2025. He is responsible for overseeing all government procurement activities, including the acquisition of goods, services, and construction projects, to ensure they are transparent, competitive, and efficient.
Prior to becoming the CPO, he was the Director of Purchasing and Supply Chain for LBJ Tropical Medical Center. Before moving to American Samoa in July 2023, he served as a Procurement/Contract Specialist with the Bureau of Reclamation, United States Department of Interior in Boulder City, NV. He is a retired combat veteran serving over 20 years in the United States Army. He graduated from Samoana High School and holds a Masters in Business Administration degree from the University of Phoenix.
